We are grateful to be with you and your family for this extraordinary PLC meeting—the PLC family reunion. Today and tomorrow, we hope you will make great memories with your family while exploring and experiencing Brigham Young University.
We love rubbing shoulders with BYU PLC families. What better way to share the light of BYU with our children and grandchildren than by experiencing it with them at the reunion?
This is our first PLC Family Reunion experience, and we are excited about it. There are 19 of our family members with us, including 8 of our grandchildren. Let’s make some memories!
We have happy memories of the reunion; three years ago, President Kevin J Worthen asked our grandson, “Are you going to come to BYU?” and the 4-year-old replied, “I’m already here!”

The theme for the reunion is Celebrating Gifts of Light, which is BYU’s sesquicentennial theme. As a campus community, we are excited to both honor our past and envision our future, to remember the many people who have built this school into what it is, and to celebrate and share the gifts of light that BYU cultivates in all of us.
